This Chicken Alfredo recipe combines tender, seasoned chicken breasts with a rich, creamy Parmesan sauce, all tossed with perfectly cooked fettuccine pasta. It’s a comforting, restaurant-quality meal that’s surprisingly easy to make at home.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (thinly sliced)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook fettuccine until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • Prepare the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Add to skillet and cook 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.

  • Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Combine Ingredients: Stir in heavy cream, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 4–5 minutes, then whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

  • Assemble the Dish: Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet along with the cooked pasta. Toss until everything is coated evenly in the sauce.

  • Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.

  • Substitute fettuccine with your preferred pasta shape if desired.

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
